Borrowing from Einstein’s quote, Eugen Oetringer’s message is simple: With Mother Nature’s deadlines on climate change and people not accepting continued downward spirals anymore, we can no longer afford solving today’s problems with the same kind of thinking that created them. We need a navigation system guiding us straight to where the differences can be made. This navigation system needs to enable initiative owners to speed up their initiatives drastically and get innovative solutions of highest impact from being neglected to the top of priority list.

Having been trained to navigate through complex environments to high-impact solutions at the once-prospering IT-services company EDS, Mr. Oetringer has found and implemented innovative solutions of high impact repeatedly. Key elements involved solving problems at their hidden root causes, applying phenomena knowledge, common sense, and intuition. But then, the world changed. These practices were not welcome anymore. From around 2005, he experienced that his innovative solutions and those of many others had become out-of-the-box solutions. The obstacles innovators had to overcome became insurmountable. With nobody appearing to pick up this matter and encouraging feedback from his networks, he picked it up. Eventually, a navigation system emerged. One of its key elements turned out to be applying the same phenomena knowledge now applied to get the Corona virus under control.

Following are some of the Mr. Oetringer achievements after popular approaches and official therapies had delivered insufficient results:

  • His son’s daily emotional outbursts down from daily to one in 14 years (ADHD) and the son learning to read within six weeks (Dyslexia); why this and other treatments deliver results explainable through practices of the capacity bottleneck phenomenon, such as ‘flatten the curve.’
  • Identification of the hidden root cause of crippling bureaucracy and overwhelming complexity (just one); from this a simple policy to get rid of the unnecessary bureaucracy and complexity.
  • Agile yet reliable decision making across organizations and countries (at EDS; now called Guided Self-OrganizationTM).
  • Overcoming three mental blockades of his unconscious thinking; through receiving mental coaching.
